Dave’s Desk,
This week is off to a great start with new classes and this Friday I’ll be teaching a new line dance for the pre-dance lesson at 7pm. Join the growing group of line dancers in the country. It has been steadily gaining popularity all over the world again. And where better to learn and do Line Dancing that at the RHDB? Young and old, singles and couples are learning to line dance for many reasons like better cardio, aerobic, balance, memory and it’s a fun healthy social activity.
From 8-11pm I’ll play a nice variety of music for both Partner Dancing and Line Dancing. Someone recently commented that “I was playing more Line Dance music lately” and it made me laugh. There is no such thing! There is only ‘music’, how you choose to dance to it is up to you. This philosophy have been working for me and the Barn for almost 30 years. We can fit both on our dance floor at the same time. It gives most of the Friday night dancers the option to do either one. That way if a favorite Line Dance comes up they can choose to do it and then go back to Partner dancing on the next song. YAY!
It’s time to register for the current series of classes. Some have already started but you can still join the first or second week. We have a packed line up of classes that started this week including a FULL day on Sundays. If you find it hard to attend classes on weeknights you might consider joining a class on Sundays. There is at least one class in all the genres of dancing we offer including Line Dancing Level 1. Now that the football season is over we have seen a big jump in Sunday registrations.
Here is a small selection: Click Full Schedule
