Mike Bello Dances West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing and Hustle in a Showcase with dance partner/instructor Adrienne Hite.
Since Mike splits his time between Seattle, WA and Los Angeles, CA he takes dance lessons in both places. When he is in Seattle/Renton, where he started taking lessons, he dances at the Rockin’ Horse Dance Barn with Jimmi and (Instr.) Dave Serfling and while he is in LA he dances with (Instr.) Adrienne Hite at Soho Dance LA.
Unlike most of the studios we spotlight, The Rockin’ Horse Dance Barn in Renton, Washington, is an adult Social Dance Studio. They offer dance lessons in a variety of Ballroom, Country, Latin and Swing Dances as well as Line Dances. During the week there are lessons every night and some in the daytime. Friday nights provide a chance to have fun and dance. The night starts off with a dance lesson from 7 to 8 p.m. to get things warmed up. Then from 8 to 11 p.m., you can dance to a variety of music that works with all the types of dance taught during the week.
After several years of waiting for the prices to drop and saving up the money the Rockin’ Horse Dance Barn installs solar panels. Yes a new 9.9 kW Photovoltaic Solar Panel System. The first system was installed in 2009 with only 3.2 kW. So now the two systems combined will generate four times what the first one did.
The amount of electricity generated will only cover approximately half of the electricity needed/used but it’s a start and if the costs continue to drop maybe in the future another system will be added to be 100% self sufficient for electricity.
Please read our Registration Policies Information to help you prepare for your first dance classes with us. If you have any questions please feel free to ask one of our staff members (not one of our instructors).

New Life Church of Renton, WA on the Maple Valley Highway hosts a Single Mom oil change event twice a year where volunteers from the church set up a “Big Shop” in the church parking lot and service the cars of single moms in the local area.
Many of the cars’ only servicing is done at these events so it is a very helpful thing for these busy moms. Back in June 2015 the church donated a newer replacement car to one of the moms. She was overjoyed and brought to tears along with many of the volunteers.
Around 200 cars are serviced at each event including oil changes, wiper blade replacement, vacuum service, fluid refills, light bulb replacement, tire pressure adjustment and sometimes tire replacements.
